Celebrating 22 Years of NHS Partnership
We’re proud to be celebrating 22 years of NHS Partnership as one of the longest-standing agencies in the medical recruitment industry. Since our incorporation in 2002, we have remained steadfast in our mission: to provide the NHS with top-tier medical professionals dedicated to delivering excellent patient care. Over the years, we have evolved, expanded, and strengthened our commitment to patient-focused recruiting, significantly impacting healthcare across the UK.
2002: Back to the beginning
Medsol was founded in 2002 with a clear purpose: to support the NHS by supplying highly skilled candidates in critical sectors of A&E, Medicine, and Women and Children. From the start, we focused on ensuring that every placement we made would improve patient outcomes. We recognise that when the right staff are in the right roles, patients receive the best possible care, and it’s this understanding that has driven our work from the very start.
2004: Becoming a trusted framework agency
Two years into our journey, Medsol achieved a significant milestone by becoming a ‘framework agency’ in 2004. This status placed us among a select group of carefully vetted recruitment agencies and marked a new level of trust and responsibility. Being a framework agency is more than just being on a list; it signifies a commitment to quality, compliance, and partnership. As a framework agency, we’re committed to:
- Working under established terms and conditions that govern how recruitment agencies contract with the NHS.
- Upholding mutual expectations and responsibilities between Medsol and NHS trusts.
- Meeting rigorous standards for quality and compliance in our recruitment processes.
- Adhering to price caps, ensuring cost-effectiveness without compromising on the quality of care
Adhering to these frameworks has been integral to our success. It allows us to deliver consistent, high-quality service while maintaining transparent and ethical practices.
2014: Expanding Our Services with Nursing and Surgery Divisions
Recognising the evolving needs of the NHS, Medsol expanded its services in 2014 by launching our Nursing and Surgery divisions. This expansion deepened our partnership with the NHS, offering more specialised recruitment services aligned with our patient-focused mission. By broadening our scope, we were able to meet the growing demands of the NHS, ensuring that more patients received the expert care they deserved.
2015: The start of a new era
2015 marked a new era for Medsol, as we were acquired by the Group. This acquisition brought fresh energy and resources, allowing us to further our commitment to patient-focused recruitment. With the Group’s support, we enhanced our services, reached more NHS trusts, and continued our mission of improving patient outcomes through strategic and thoughtful recruitment.
2017 – 2018: Expanding our services
Recognising the increased demand for mental health services across the UK, we launched our Mental Health division in 2017, led by expert recruiter James Blackburn. This division was established to address the critical shortage of mental health professionals and to ensure that NHS trusts had access to the best talent in this vital field.
Continuing our expansion, we launched the Theatre division in 2018 to meet the specific needs of operating theatres within the NHS and ensure that highly trained professionals staff these critical environments.
2022: The rebrand
As Medsol grew, it became clear that our brand needed to evolve to reflect our expanded capabilities under the Group. In 2022, we rebranded as Medsol Group, a move that unified our multiple divisions under a new banner. This rebranding was more than just a name change—it represents two decades of patient-focused recruiting and our commitment to continuing this mission.
2024: But wait, there’s more…
We’re excited to launch our new Jobs Board, a platform designed to make finding the best candidates easier. This tool will allow candidates to apply directly online, streamlining the recruitment process and ensuring we can continue placing the right people in the right roles.
We are confident that with our continued focus on quality, compliance, and partnership, Medsol Group will remain a trusted partner of the NHS for many years.
Thank you for being part of our journey. Here’s to 22 years of excellence—and many more to come.
