This week we’re celebrating 77 Years of the NHS!
This week, the NHS turns 77, and at Medsol, we want to say a big thank you.
For 77 years, the NHS has been there for us all. No matter your background or circumstances, the NHS has stood for one simple but powerful idea: that everyone should be able to get the care they need, when they need it.
At Medsol, we’ve spent the last 22 years helping to make that happen. Our job is to support the NHS by finding skilled doctors, nurses, and other medical professionals and placing them where they’re needed most. It’s something we care deeply about because we know that good recruitment leads to better care for patients.
People Make the NHS What It Is
Behind every hospital appointment, clinic visit, and emergency call, people are giving their all. Nurses are working long shifts. Consultants are making tough decisions. Admin teams are keeping everything running smoothly.
We see the pressure these teams are under every day—and we see their commitment too. That’s why we work hard to take some of that pressure off by making recruitment simpler, quicker, and more reliable.
Medsol was founded in 2002 with a clear purpose: to support the NHS by supplying highly skilled candidates in critical sectors, including A&E, Medicine, and Women’s and Children’s Services. From the start, we focused on ensuring that every placement we made would improve patient outcomes. We recognise that when the right staff are in the right roles, patients receive the best possible care, and it’s this understanding that has driven our work from the very start.
Patients at the Heart of It All
At the centre of everything is the patient. The NHS was founded on the principle that everyone deserves access to healthcare, regardless of their background or circumstances. That belief still holds true today. Whether it’s a child needing urgent care, an elderly patient managing a long-term condition, or someone facing a health crisis, they all deserve the same level of support and respect. That’s why we focus on patient-first recruitment: because when healthcare professionals are supported, patients receive better care.
Our Promise to the NHS
Over the years, we’ve partnered with NHS Trusts across the UK to help fill both short-term and permanent roles. Whether it’s covering gaps in A&E rotas, finding the right GP for a busy surgery, or supporting mental health services, our focus has always been the same: putting the right people in the right place to deliver excellent patient care.
We know the challenges facing the NHS today aren’t small. However, we also recognise the strength of our workforce—and the significant impact a supportive recruitment partner can have.
Looking Forward
As the NHS faces growing demand and increasing pressure, we’re here to help in any way we can. For us, recruitment isn’t just about jobs—it’s about ensuring that people receive the care they need, from professionals who feel supported and valued in their roles.
As we mark 77 years of the NHS, we extend our gratitude to every person who makes it work. From frontline staff to those behind the scenes—your dedication is inspiring, and we’re proud to stand alongside you.
